Dogs or cats?

They have different languages that humans need to learn. Dog is allowed to go on patrol with their beloved hooman. Cats remain in the house, predating on vermin… and really really look good.

…TS has set up an online presence for your dog. They want/need Black Dog Biscuits, you… my dear hooman… can order their own pack.

PN is out of commission for the next bit. He discovered how much tissue damage one can do to to his 54-year-old, right shoulder and neck. And pain. Oh my f**king god! PN is being reminded just how much discomfort one can experience with pinched nerves and warring opposing muscle groups. X-rays? Done. Ultrasound examination of that muscle/bone/connective tissue set? Done… and PN is now waiting for the diagnosis from the Taddle Creek Health Team. PN commits to physiotherapy? Ug. Yes. Thank glod for extended medical coverage as a retired teacher.

Saint Lucia was the an amazing experience. THUNDEROUS peeping frogs the size of a nickel. Walking stick insects. Being dragged over reefs by razor-sharp fishing hooks. Daily deep tissue massages. Night dives. Hermit land crabs. Feral cats.

  • ✅✅✅ Saturday, June 29/24… have your favourite pooch try out Tobey Cookies at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market (we’ll be on the side facing the pedestrian-dog-safe courtyard).
  • ✅✅✅ Sunday, June 30/24… drop by the Handicraft House on your way to/from your home on Highway 6. Leash your dog and go for a walk on our craft fair’s grounds.
  • Monday, July 1/24… NEW AND INTERESTING EVENT. As you drive the posted speed limit in Ferndale (Ontario), why not make a pit stop at our local visitors centre. Clean bathrooms. Wireless hotspot (for your NON-VEHICULAR telecommunications’ compulsions).

What’s the most delicious thing you’ve ever eaten?

A bit on the nose, I know.

I think the most surprising flavour I’ve discovered recently is a tie: black lace elderberry and garlic scapes. Elderberry MUST BE PROCESSED into a jelly. Otherwise, I have a trip to the hospital in my future! TS grew garlic scapes at her VPCI test garden. And we were hooked on the flavour.

…at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market. Our booth will have its bay door open to the pedestrian-only area (during non-market days, or the winter, it’s customer parking). If you have a leashed dog, you are welcomed to drop by that area. There will be vendors on its perimeter. See you there.

And she enjoyed a puppy-sized Black Dog Biscuit (excellent for training).
Dede, this was a kindness. I’m looking forward to trying the condiment on meat dishes.
