No Wednesday, September 2nd Tobermory Market for Black Dog Biscuits Nor NeemTree Knife Sharpening.

Heavy rain overnight and the risk of continuous foul weather for the rest of the day. We cannot risk the safety of our products (humidity can shorten our product’s shelf-life… and potential lightening strikes and waterspouts can ruin our tent, no?). September 2, 2026 = no go.

We plan on being at the Owen Sound Farmers Market, September 5, 2026. Count on seeing us at the Tobermory harbour September 9/26.

Wednesday, August 12/26.

Our view from behind the salesโ€™ booth.

Itโ€™s worth the trip up Highway 6 to visit our village.

NeemTree knife sharpening is also on-site.

Find your pack. And buy your dog biscuits! August 5th.

July 15, 2026. Blackdog Biscuits can’t be at the harbour market today.

The Tobermory Marketplace is a fantastic venue and we really wanted to be there today. However, the poor air quality makes us setting up in the heat and smoke a risky adventure for us.

This is a screen capture of the AQI map for our area; it also has an image of our air monitor superimposed on it.

Our monitor’s purple light emitting diodes signal too many floating particles in the air column. The dawn outside our home is also a green-brown hue. Yeahhhhhhh, we can’t sling dog & cat treats during this extreme weather (atmospheric conditions) event. We’ll reschedule for NEXT WEDNESDAY, 10 A.M. UNTIL 1 P.M., JULY 22ND.

YOU CAN ALWAYS TEXT-CALL US AT 226-923-2968 IF YOU’D LIKE TO DROP BY AND BUY BISCUITS. WE ARE LOCATED ABOUT 15 MINUTES AWAY FROM THE HIGHWAY (DYERS BAY ROAD, ON-6 TURN-OFF). OR, WE CAN MEET YOU AT THE PARKING LOT BY DYERS BAY ROAD. CALL AHEAD TO NEGOTIATE TERMS, EH.

The last time it was this purple, I was blowing cannabis smoke directly into the sensor. Bad citizen-scientist. Bad. Bad. Bad.

I encourage you to add the following website to your bookmarks. https://map.purpleair.com/air-quality-standards-aqhi-plus?opt=%2F1%2Fmetric%2Flp%2Fa10%2Fp604800%2FcECCC&select=284590#8.02/44.737/-81.957 …and then zoom out on the interactive map.

Thanos, from The Avengers. In the meantimeโ€ฆ

What villain actually had a good point?

โ€ฆcome by the harbour and shop around. NeemTreeโ€™s also available for knife sharpening services (1 week turn-around).

No gauntlets nor infinity stones in sight!

Visitors! Who enjoyed blackdogbiscuitsโ€ฆ

June 24, 2026. Itโ€™s sunny downtown, with a light breeze!

Tobermory, Ontario, Canada.

June 17th At Tobermory Harbour.

50/50 cat treats, 50/50 nip fiend, dog treats, $1 used books, knitted creations, and 3D printed tchotchkes (Owen Sound based).

Itโ€™s warmer in Tobermoryโ€ฆ

โ€ฆcompared to last week. Sunny too! Come and visit our marketplace, until 1 p.m. and then meander the teat of our local community. May 20, 2026.

Until 1 p.m.

This is a new product. Itโ€™s based on what cats would eat if they were eating rodents out in the wild. Itโ€™s fascinatingly gruesome. Ask us about it.

Meat free.

May 13th. Rain? Yep… we’ll still try the Tobermory Makers-Craft Event.

07:25 EST. Stay tuned. https://www.facebook.com/photo/?fbid=1587648423361338&set=a.508477471278444

And weโ€™ll be here weekly!!

If we go to markets, will the dogs be happy?

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

โ€ฆpotentially, yes. Black Dog Biscuits has to be at your local farmerโ€™s or crafting-makers market and set up sales booths.

Even if all we get to do is let your leashed pup try a sample, thatโ€™s how cottage industries work. No guarantees.

Weโ€™re prototyping a CAT TREAT for Felinus domesticus. Its product name will be 50/50 Cat Treats. โ€œWill your cat like the treat?โ€ฆ โ€ฆ โ€ฆ meh, thereโ€™s a 50/50 chance that YES, your house-cougar will like itโ€.

Test market results: yep, thatโ€™s whatโ€™s indeed occurring. Meanwhile, the household dog goes bonkers for them (because they recognize the BDB packaging).

Saturday. Drive up to Tobermory!

Todayโ€™s market runs until 14:00 EST. Come on up to the tip of the North Bruce Peninsula. The road conditions are clear & dry! the St. Nicholas Bazaar.
