What’s something you used to believe as a kid that seems ridiculous now?

…for sale at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market. My childhood fear of west coast, British Columbian Lysichiton americanus was odd. They just looked like they attracted flies for consumption. They here was a memorable Scientific American article about the plant. It has heat generating tissue thet allows it to poke through spring snow and attract its pollinators. Flying insects! Hell, according to the forbidden website of knowledge (wikipedia link here), bears eat it as a natural laxative post hibernation.

Saturday May 30/26

The morning chill’s almost gone. There’s blue sky. It’s a good start to an Owen Sound Farmer’s Market (OSFM).

From 8 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
We’re installing a bear-resistant garbage bin.

It’s warmer in Tobermory…

…compared to last week. Sunny too! Come and visit our marketplace, until 1 p.m. and then meander the teat of our local community. May 20, 2026.

Until 1 p.m.

This is a new product. It’s based on what cats would eat if they were eating rodents out in the wild. It’s fascinatingly gruesome. Ask us about it.

Meat free.

Our dry-erase whiteboard, MAAG online document, and selling dog biscuits @ the OSFM! May 2nd.

What gives you direction in life?

Month-At-AGlance shared document gives me a clue and my spouse can update it. Our dry-erase board plans out our workflow…. 7 days at 1 go.

We’re at the market today. Drop by and shop local, eh.

Every time we set up a sales booth! April 25th ✅

When is the last time you took a risk? How did it work out?

…As we set up at the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market.

We want to offer dog treats, comfortable (pup) jackets, 3D printed kit, paw wax, books, and human-hats. And that means selling our wares. Success? Ask us again at the end of the season!!

If we go to markets, will the dogs be happy?

Jot down the first thing that comes to your mind.

…potentially, yes. Black Dog Biscuits has to be at your local farmer’s or crafting-makers market and set up sales booths.

Even if all we get to do is let your leashed pup try a sample, that’s how cottage industries work. No guarantees.

We’re prototyping a CAT TREAT for Felinus domesticus. Its product name will be 50/50 Cat Treats. “Will your cat like the treat?… … … meh, there’s a 50/50 chance that YES, your house-cougar will like it”.

Test market results: yep, that’s what’s indeed occurring. Meanwhile, the household dog goes bonkers for them (because they recognize the BDB packaging).

Dawn was seen…

…when we trekked to the Owen Sound Farmer’s Market.

This morning’s creation!
