Friday July 19, 2024… I took this 39 second video at the entrance of our future home. I want the public to know that the following businesses WILL be set up near Gilles Lake: (a) Black Dog Biscuits; (b) vendor for BE-AS-HAPPY-AS-YOUR-DOG signed copies & workbook; (c) Black Cat B&B; and, (d) 3BlackCat Bakery. IF THE GREEN GATE IS CLOSED, PLEASE RESPECT THE SIGNAGE and DO NOT ENTER. Contact PN or TS if you need access.

This is a flock of sandhill cranes, located in a field on Lindsay Road 40.

I stopped and actually READ the sign. This road REALLY is safer to drive.

I’m observing how Meaford’s topography affects the local weather. It’s a U-shaped valley.

What have you been putting off doing? Why?

Yes, I know about all the benefits of such strengthening activities. Yes, I know it reduces back pain. It’s the nausea and hurling sensation.

If you were going to open up a shop, what would you sell?

…and quiet! TS and PN want to offer a 21st century off-grid B&B (bed and breakfast) along the Bruce Trail. It takes time and resources. Oh, and a formal business profile! When we are ready, there will be formal (bordering on obnoxious) media releases.

Eventually, as we settle into our future home, I want to explore hardwood pelletization. We have a lifetime supply of fuel in this lot. I want to practice what I preach about sustainable forestry. Not the nonsense practiced by Canada. Permaculture! Using ‘donut economics’ (as TS would muse).

In the short term, I will support TS’s biscuit effort.
